QUALITY ENGINEERING / ACCESSIBILITY / AUTOMATION

A quality engineer
who builds.

I’m Eric Hammett. I lead QA teams, develop test automation, and build web products of my own.

SELECTED WORK

Selected work

QA tooling, browser GPU measurement and a specialized card catalog. Three projects with different engineering constraints.

APPROACH

What I look for

The questions I bring to a design review, a test plan, or a new tool.

01

Can someone use it without a mouse?

Keyboard navigation, useful error messages, and readable content are part of the implementation—not finishing touches.

02

What does the result actually tell us?

A passing test or a fast benchmark needs context. I look for repeatable checks and clearly stated limits.

03

Can the next person maintain it?

Straightforward code, documented decisions, and automation that saves more effort than it creates.

BUILD

Automation & products

In 2026, tooling initiatives I approved and directed into development by my team at Ten Gun Design contributed an estimated 12.5 weeks of combined engineering and QA effort saved on previously manual tasks. I personally developed some of the tools within that wider effort.

Owner estimate across multiple team initiatives; not an independently measured result or savings attributable solely to my own code.
